Vocabulary Related to Different Professions and Occupations:

Healthcare: doctor, nurse, dentist, pharmacist, physiotherapist, psychologist, veterinarian
Education: teacher, professor, lecturer, tutor, principal, librarian, counsellor
Business: manager, executive, accountant, financial advisor, human resources, marketing specialist, sales representative
Engineering and Technology: engineer, software developer, IT specialist, data analyst, architect, project manager
Creative and Media: artist, graphic designer, photographer, writer, journalist, editor, filmmaker, actor
Hospitality and Tourism: chef, cook, waiter, bartender, hotel manager, tour guide, travel agent
Public Services: police officer, firefighter, paramedic, social worker, lawyer, judge, politician

Talking about Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:

To describe job responsibilities, use “is responsible for” or “works on” followed by the tasks. For example, “A nurse is responsible for patient care and administering medications.”

To discuss qualifications, use “needs” or “requires” followed by the credentials. For example, “A teacher needs a bachelor’s degree and teaching certification.”
