2.3: Using “Before” with the Present Perfect

Faster English July 3, 2024

We can also use the word “before” with the Present Perfect tense to emphasize that an action has happened at least once in the past. For example:

She has travelled to France before.

They have tried sushi before.

In both sentences, the use of “before” highlights that the experience has occurred at least once, without specifying when it took place.
