Now it’s time to practice using the Present Perfect tense for actions continuing into the present. Complete the following exercise:

Rewrite these sentences using the Present Perfect tense to emphasize the ongoing nature of the actions:

a) He studies at the university.

b) She works as a teacher.

c) They are friends.

d) I play the piano.

Write sentences using the Present Perfect tense with “still”:

a) A book you started reading but haven’t finished.

b) A project you’re working on that is not yet complete.

c) A goal you have not yet achieved.

Use the Present Perfect tense to describe an ongoing situation in your life:

a) Your current job or school situation.

 b) A long-term relationship or friendship.
