Faster English July 3, 2024

Hello, and welcome back to the “Master the Present Perfect Course!” Great work on completing Module 4! In this module, we will explore how to ask questions in the present perfect tense.

Asking questions in the present perfect is a useful way to learn more about someone’s experiences or to get more information about a specific event. In this module, we will learn how to form questions in the present perfect tense and use them in conversations.

5.1 Forming Questions in the Present Perfect

To form a question in the present perfect tense, we use the auxiliary verb “have” or “has” followed by the subject and the past participle of the main verb. For example:

Have you travelled to Europe before?

Has he finished his homework yet?

Notice that when we form questions in the present perfect, the auxiliary verb comes before the subject. This is different from affirmative sentences, where the subject comes before the auxiliary verb.
