7.1: The Present Perfect with “Just”

Hello, and welcome back to the “Master the Present Perfect Course!” Congratulations on completing Module 4! In this module, we’ll explore the usage of the Present Perfect tense with adverbs and time expressions. Let’s continue our journey towards mastering the Present Perfect tense!

When we want to emphasize that an action has happened very recently, we can use the adverb “just” with the Present Perfect tense. For example:

I have just finished my homework.

They have just arrived at the airport.

In both sentences, the use of “just” indicates that the action has happened only a short time before the present.
